Managed Linux servers
Your web app, customer portal or internal tools run on Linux servers in the cloud. We set them up, lock them down and keep them up to date in the background, so you never have to think about the server behind them.
We run the Linux servers your applications live on and set up and look after UniFi networks on site. You tell us what needs to run, and we make sure it does.
The security update nobody installed, the certificate that expired over the weekend, the access point in the warehouse that keeps dropping out. That lands on our desk now, not on yours.
You look after your customers. We make sure servers, network and Wi-Fi don’t get in the way.
Your part
Customers, orders, your team. Firewall rules and VLANs are no longer something you need to think about.
Our part
We agree the amount upfront. After that you know every month what’s coming.
What’s in the quote is what you pay.
We don’t tie anyone down with long contract terms.
Individual requests and projects
€120.00 per hour
plus VAT, billed in 15-minute increments. Ongoing support is billed as a monthly flat fee on terms agreed in advance.
We do two things, and we do them properly: we run Linux servers for your applications, and we set up and look after UniFi networks.

As an official Ubiquiti partner we plan, install and look after your UniFi system: Wi-Fi, switches, gateway, cameras and door access, all in one interface.
More about UniFiOfficial Ubiquiti partner
We’re an official Ubiquiti partner. With UniFi, Wi-Fi, gateway, cameras and door access share one interface, and that’s how we set it up for you: planned once, properly, and looked after by us from then on.
Ask about UniFiUniFi Network
Access points, switches and gateway from one source, managed in one interface. We plan where each device goes, keep guests, cameras and office in separate networks and link further sites via VPN.
UniFi Protect
Indoor and outdoor cameras that store their recordings on a recorder at your premises. You see the live image and recordings in the app, and you don’t need a cloud subscription for any of it.
UniFi Access
Doors open with a card, a phone or a PIN. You decide who may go where and when, and you can see who opened a door. When someone leaves the team, their access is gone with one click.
Using your floor plan we work out where access points, cameras and readers belong, and how many you actually need.
Cabling and power are done by a local contractor following our plan. Then the devices go up and get connected.
We set up networks, guest Wi-Fi, VPN, cameras and door access, and document every setting.
Firmware updates, monitoring and changes, such as a new colleague who needs a door card, go through us.
Cabling and electrical work are done by a specialist contractor near you. We agree the plan with them beforehand, so on installation day every socket is where the access point needs to go.

Highly recommended: friendly, exceptionally competent advice. Takes his time and responds to what the customer wants, no waiting times, the best value for money.
VimBytes has been around since 2019. From Lohr am Main we run Linux servers and look after UniFi networks for businesses, well beyond our own region. Since 2026 we’re also an official Ubiquiti partner.
Linux servers and UniFi networks. We don’t spread ourselves thin, and you notice that in every setup.
You write straight to the people who set up your systems. No ticket number, no queue.
Access, configurations and documentation belong to you. If you ever want to switch, we hand everything over.
Linux costs no licence fees, and UniFi runs without ongoing licence costs as well. You pay for hardware and our work, not for subscriptions.
From the first conversation to day-to-day operations.
You tell us how your business works and what isn’t working right now. The call is free of obligation.
We look at your applications, servers and network and write down what we find.
You get a quote that says what we’ll do and what it costs. Once you agree, we start.
From then on we monitor and maintain your systems and get in touch when something is due.
Your question isn’t here? Write to us.
We take over the ongoing care of your IT. We set things up, keep them current, watch over them and step in when something goes wrong. You don’t need your own IT department for that.
Ongoing support is billed as a monthly flat fee on terms agreed with you in advance. How much depends on what we look after for you. Individual requests and projects are billed at €120.00 per hour plus VAT, in 15-minute increments. After the first call you get a quote that lists every item.
You’re not. Our contracts can be cancelled monthly. If we do good work, you’ll stay anyway.
Yes. We look after what your team builds on: servers, network, Wi-Fi and firewall. For the workstations themselves, meaning PCs, printers and office software, a local partner or your current IT contact is the better choice. We’re happy to coordinate with them directly.
We’re based in Lohr am Main, Germany. Almost everything we do works securely via remote maintenance, so we look after businesses far beyond our region. Work on site such as electrical installation and cabling is carried out by a local specialist contractor we coordinate with directly.
That’s the usual case. First we get an overview and document what’s there, then we take over step by step. If you like, we coordinate with your current contact along the way.
No. We plan changes so your business keeps running. Anything that can’t be done during operation happens outside your business hours.
Usually we notice first, because our monitoring raises the alarm. If you spot something yourself, you write directly to your contact person.
